For me, winter means one thing – dull, pale skin. Which is why I was pretty excited when I got the chance to try Prtty Peaushun ($36 here) – I’ve heard lots about it being a miracle product and couldn’t wait to give it a go. It was created by celebrity makeup artist Bethany Karlyn – she’d been using it on her clients for years and (lucky for us) decided to make it available to the public, so we can have skin that looks amazing like Gwyneth Paltrow and Zooey Deschanel.
The Promise: the subtle light reflecting pigments in Prtty Peaushun give a natural radiance and will help even out skin tone and enhance muscle tone, for a sexy slimmer silhoutte.
Let me start by saying I love the way this product is packaged – it’s super convenient, easy to pack, and it’s easy to use it all down to the last drop since it is so flexible. As they also state, it is designed to take up minimal space in landfills, so you can feel a little less guilty about using it.
The dispensing mechanism – designed to keep product clean by discouraging contaminants to enter.
It’s available in 5 shades – plain, light, medium, dark and deep dark. Seeing as I get particularly pale in the winter, I tried it out in the light shade:
And blended in:
After applying the lotion, I immediately noticed the difference. I found that it moisturized my skin nicely, and left it with a nice glowy, dewy look, which definitely helps to make your skin look healthier. I noticed my skin also looks and feels much smoother after applying. This stuff is perfect for a night out, or a date night when you really want to make your skin glow and look hot. It really perks you up – which is nice now that we’re getting ready to head into warmer weather and need a skin pick me up. The only thing I’m not totally crazy about is the scent – “peaumelo” – which is a little too sunscreen-y for me but fades quickly. All in all, definitely a product I’m loving and will continue to use.
Another plus? Prtty Peaushun doesn’t contain any toxic ingredients and is free of DEA, GMOs, parabens, petrochemicals, pthalates, propyl alcohol, propylene glycol, sulfates, synthetic dye, synthetic fragrance, talc, toluene and triclosan. It’s also not tested on animals. You can feel good about using it know those cute little bunnies are safe and you’re not putting anything bad on your skin.
Anyways, now that you’ve heard about it, how about giving it a try? My friends at Prtty Peaushun are going to hook one of you up with Prtty Peaushun in the shade of your choice! (Winner must have a US address, sorry to all my Canadian chums, but I promise I’ll have something awesome coming for you soon!)
