So, I’ve got big news! I received my first GlossyBox today! I’m a huge fan of these subscription beauty boxes, and was stoked when I heard that GlossyBox was coming to Canada – it originated in the UK and has been explanding ever since, and I’d been hearing such amazing things about it. It made it’s debut this month, and it’s off to a good start. Not only that, but the box is totally cute.
For those of you not familiar with these services, I’ll give you a quick break down – for a monthly payment you receive a box full of luxury beauty smaples delivered to your door. In GlossyBox’s case, you pay $15 a month (including taxes and shipping) and receive a selection of 5 deluxe samples.

The goods:
Ahava Mineral Hand Cream ($22 for 100 ml) – I’ve tried this hand cream before and love it. It’s one of Ahava’s best sellers for a reason, and leaves your hands soft with a nice light scent.
Elizabeth Grant Skin Care Moisturizing Stick ($12) – a sheer, highly moisturizing balm. I gave it a try today and was pleasantly surprised with how soft my lips felt after applying. Also gave a nice light shine.
Essie nail polish in Neo Whimsical ($9.99) – I love Essie polish, so this was a nice surprise to find in the box. The colour is a really pretty light pink.
Oscar de la Renta Live in Love body lotion ($54.00 for 200 ml) – Oscar de la Renta’s new scent launched in Fall 2011. Light, floral scent is really pretty.
Elizabeth Arden Prevage Night Anti-Aging Restorative Cream ($160 for 50 ml) – This isn’t necessarily a product that I’m going to be using, but my mom is already excited to take advantage of this one.
Bonus – Beauty So Clean Sanitizer Wipes and Cosmetic Sanitize Mist – these are really neat – can be used to sanitize your cosmetics so you can prevent bacteria and germsfrom building up, which can lead to breakouts and infections.
