I received my September Topbox last week, and was super excited to dig in and take a look. Here’s what I received this month:
Benefit They’re Real! Mascara (3 g – full size $29.00) – I love Benefit and I love their mascaras, so this was a nice little treat in this month’s box. I’m not a huge fan of plastic brushes, but it does a nice job of lengthening and separating – it does a nice job of pumping up my lashes, and I really like this.
M. Asam Perfect Teint (5 mL – 50 mL/$42.00) – I have received an M. Asam sample before – their BB cream, which was quite nice. This is a primer which goes on really nicely and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth – looking forward to trying this out.
Vasanti Brighten Up Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator (20 g – 120 mL/$34.00) – I have used this before – it acts as a scrub with very fine exfoliating beads and leaves your face feeling very refreshed.
Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner (2 samples of each – 10 mL each – full size shampoo $15/conditioner $17) – Protection for colour treated hair – definitely something I need!
Honestly, I felt pretty meh about this month’s box. I was really underwhelmed – I didn’t feel like there was anything special that really blew me away. I also noticed that some subscribers received a card to get a Balenciaga fragrance sample and bag from Holt’s – this is something I really wish I could have received instead of the Redken samples. I did see that Topbox posted on their Facebook wall saying that next month’s box will contain brands/products that are unique to Topbox – I am looking forward to what they include!
