Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto to check out the Bond Exhibit and to perform a little espionage of my own – my mission? To uncover L’Oreal Paris’ new secret weapons for skin.
First, we were able to enjoy a guided tour of the Bond Exhibit – if you’re a Bond fan and live in the Toronto area, you’re definitely going to want to check this out. It’s got some of the most iconic memorabilia and artefacts from the Bond films. It runs until January 20, so you’ve got 2 months to check it out!
L’Oreal’s head makeup artist, Eddie Malter, was on hand to introduce the new “secret weapons” and Daani Sarma gave us some great info on the new products. Not only do the ladies get a secret weapon – they’ve thrown in a little something for the guys as well, which they have touted as the “viagra of skin.” If that doesn’t entice guys to want to try it out, I don’t know what will.
For the ladies, we have the new Revitalift Miracle Blur ($29.99) – an instant skin smoothing cream meant to blur skin imperfections, reduce shine for a matte finish and even out skin tone. It quite literally does exactly what you would think – blurs the skin. It almost looks like you went on Photoshop and added a blur filter – and I mean that in a good way. It makes your skin look amazing – and is so perfect for applying under makeup. Eddie also gave us a good tip – it can be applied over makeup to keep shine at bay, which means it’s perfect for a quick touch up.
Onto the “viagra of skin” – L’Oreal has developed the new Men Expert Vitalift Anti-Age Force Lifting & Fortifying Serum ($15.99), L’Oreal’s first revitalizing serum for men. It’s designed to give an instant lifting effect to give skin a more toned look. It’s very masculine, with a light, manly scent which isn’t overwhelming. It has a very lightweight texture and is extremely moisturizing.
