Their foundations are legendary and amazing (I love the HD products), and now I’m a fan of the new Make Up For Ever Pro Finish – a multi-use compact foundation which can be applied wet or dry depending on the type of coverage you want. A nice thing to note – this foundation is free of oil, fragrance and parabens.
This foundation comes in 25 different shades with golden, pink and neutral undertones so that it is easy to find the shade that is best suited to your skin tone (the ladies at Sephora are very helpful if you’re having trouble picking the right shade). This wet/dry foundation is a little funny because it kind of works the opposite way than you would expect. When applied dry, it offers fuller coverage, while wet application is more sheer. You are able to build it up with multiple applications if you aren’t satisfied with the level of coverage you are getting as well.
I personally prefer to apply it dry – it provides nice coverage for an even skin tone, helps to hide redness and imperfections, and banishes oil. One quick tip if applying this wet – make sure that you moisturize before applying so that the foundation applies smoothly and doesn’t look powdery on your face. I really like how it left my skin looking almost glowing once applied, and it really helped to even my skin out – gotta love a product that makes you look flawless! I found that the results were quite long lasting, as I only had to touch up once throughout the day after work.
