Continuing with the Bond theme of their polishes this past holiday season, OPI decided to go ahead and create 6 new Liquid Sand polishes inspired by some of the most iconic Bond Girls.
“The six shades are named after some of the most iconic – and my favorite – Bond girls, including Solitaire, Pussy Galore, Tiffany Case, Vesper, Honey Ryder and Jynx,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI co-founder & Artistic Director. She also adds, “Worn without a top coat, these Liquid Sand lacquers give a pebbled, matte finish worthy of the captivating ‘Bond Girls’ name.”
This was my first run in with Liquid Sands, and to be honest I wasn’t completely sure how I was going to like them. That being said, my first experience was a positive one. They applied really nicely thanks to the ProWide Brush and had really good drying time. I do like the end results – it really does remind me of sand, but in a good way. The texture is really neat, a little grainy with some added shimmer. I think that it gives off a really glam look. Of course, I can’t leave anything alone, so I decided to add a top coat to one of my nails to see what would happen – it helps to give the polish more of a traditional look, with nice sheen, and it actually does look quite nice.
I swatched 3 of the new Liquid Sands for you below. Take a look and check out the other 3 shades which are also going to be available below.

Tiffany Case – “A classic light blue worth investigating”
Jinx – “This mesmerizing matte coral has lucky sparkle”
Honey Ryder – “Take a ryde on the wild side in this shimmery gold”
