As a girl with some Scottish blood in me (thanks to my grandpa on my dad’s side), I can definitely say that I was excited to see the new Lise Watier Tartantastique Collection for Fall 2013 (will be available August-October 2013 – keep an eye out as it will be arriving in stores very soon!). With a focus on neutrals, dark purples and turquoise, this collection is feminine with a side of edge and a hint of rebel. The eyes are really played up with this set, while the rest of the face is clean and bright. I’ve got photos + swatches of a majority of the collection for you to check out!
Lise Watier Quatuor Tartantastique Eyeshadow Quartet ($36, Limited Edition) – This quad features rich jewel tones which are spot on for fall. The teal blue is absolutely gorgeous and works so well with the bellflower mauve shade – I can’t get enough. The shadows are soft and smooth with a hint of shimmer. Also, the case has plaid print… How cute is that?? Swatches below.
Lise Watier Dramatique Intense Extra Smooth Liner in Prune ($20) – This deep eggplant liner is the perfect companion to the Tartantastique quartet. It complements all of the shades so perfectly and is excellent for creating a deep, dramatic look. I love how smoothly this pencil glides on – it has really easy application and has a smudger on the end to help create a sexy smoky effect. This pencil is also waterproof and has long staying power.
Lise Watier Havana Bronzing Powder in Matte ($29) – This collection sees the addition of the Havana Bronzing Powder in Matte – perfect for adding a little glow to your skin without any shine. This bronzer is perfect for warming up your look as the matte texture helps to minimize the look of imperfections. I do find this to be a lighter shade of bronzer, which means even pale girls (like me) can use it without worrying about looking orange.
Lise Watier Rouge Sublime Lipstick in Tartan ($21, Limited Edition) – This limited edition lipstick is a nice neutral shade that gives the lips just a hint of a berry look. It’s perfect to go along with the dramatic eye that can be created with the Tartantastique Quartet. It’s creamy with a satiny finish and a little shine.
Lise Watier Haute Lumiere High Shine Lip Gloss in Natural Shine ($22) – This non-sticky gloss is great for giving your lips a really nice shine. I found that it applied smoothly and takes the form of a lacquer a bit more than a gloss as the colour (though neutral) is very pigmented. This gloss does come with a light in the lid and a mirror on the side of the tube so you can have perfect application anywhere!
Lise Watier Nail Lacquer in Pink Plaid ($13, Limited Edition) – This polish is high shine – a great neutral for the fall with a bit of a rosy undertone. The lid does come with a built in light to make application easier.
What do you think of the Lise Watier Tartantastique Collection?
