Beauty With Heart

breastcancer

With Breast Cancer Awareness Month coming up (October is only a month away!) I love seeing the arrival of products dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness.  Many companies choose to come out with limited edition products to help spread the word and to raise funds for research, and I’ve compiled a few of this year’s additions for you to take a look at.

OPI Pink of Hearts Duo

OPI Pink of Hearts Duo 2013 ($19.95, available September & October 2013) – This marks the 7th year OPI has put out a Pink of Hearts duo for BCA.  This year’s collection features the classic pink “Pink-ing Of You” and the sparkly “More than a Glimmer” along with a sheet of pink ribbon and crystal decals.  This year, OPI will donate $25,000 to Susan G. Komen and $5,000 to Rethink Breast Cancer in Canada.

Matrix Haircare Pink Cans ($15-$17.95) – To help support breast cancer awareness, Matrix has repackaged 5 of their most popular products in the signature pink we’ve all come to associate with this.  A portion of the sales of these will be donated to the Look Good Feel Better Foundation to help women who are fighting hard to beat the disease.

Avon Breast Cancer Awareness Necklace

Avon Breast Cancer Awareness Necklaces in Love and Amour ($5, available October 2013) – Avon launched the Breast Cancer Crusade in 1992 to help raise funds and awareness.  This year, they’ve introduced these beautiful necklaces.  100% of the net profits of the sale of Crusade products will be donated to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade to help fund breast cancer research, awareness and support services.

Avon Start Something

Avon Start Something Bracelet ($9) and Start Something Rhinestone Bracelet ($20) – both contain a 1 GB USB key – I do realize this last one isn’t for breast cancer awareness, but I wanted to share because it does help to make a difference.  This year, Avon decided to start the Start Something campaign to fight bullying and violence against women.  100% of the net proceeds from each of these bracelets sold will be donated to the Canadian Women’s Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada.  I’m going to be giving away one Avon Start Something Bracelet.  If you want to win, follow me and Tweet this message “I want to #StartSomething with @linerglttrgloss and @MyAvonCanada.  Enter to win here:http://wp.me/p1YQ0K-IH”
