WMCFW SS 14 Day 4 Beauty: Target,

Day 4 of WMCFW was a little bit more special to me as I was able to really get in to the action.  First, I was able to go backstage to check out the beautiful “ice cream” nails Rita Remark created for the Soia and Kyo show, which were soft and dainty.  I then got to take in the Target show – it was their first time showing at WMCFW and it was a great start, so different from all of the other shows.  It was fun and had a holiday theme, with gifts for attendees (one of which was a Bullseye snowglobe – so cute) and special guests Bullseye the Target dog and Erin Wasson! I then also sat in on the Soia and Kyo and Rudsak shows, which were a great way to finish off the night.   Read on to check out some of the beauty looks from Day 4!

Makeup: Create a subtle, shimmery smoky eye by lining the upper lashes withMaybelline New York Master Smoky Longwearing Shadow-Pencil, smudging it up slightly with the pencil’s sponge tool. Swipe Maybelline New York EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow in Bad to the Bronze across the entire eyelid for a simple shiny finish. Flesh toned lips top off this holiday classic – Erin Wasson style.

Hair: Start with a textured, natural wave; try sleeping in a loose braid. Use RedkenSignature Looks Fashion Waves 07 Texturizing Sea Spray for added texture.  Make a left side part and sweep hair over the forehead. Spray RedkenFashion Work 12 all over the front portion and hairline and then rake back with fingers into a ponytail – make sure it isn’t too low on the neck.  Wrap the ponytail loosely in a round pattern,  creating a messier textured bun, secure with pins. Leave out random pieces to create a soft, romantic feel.  Finish with Redken Shine Flash 02 for added shine.

Caitlin Power

Hair: Start with clean straight hair. Create a Mohawk, pull both side sections back and clip that hair out of the way.  With the two remaining sections on the side of the head, brush down and back into a low, smooth ponytail and secure with elastic. Spray Control Addict 28 over sections to smooth and lock into place.  With the remaining Mohawk section, run some Redken Signature Looks Ruffle Up 14 to add some grip and additional texture. Create a tight French braid starting at the front of the head all the way down the already created ponytail.  Braid the ponytail into the braid to shorten the length.  Finish by sprayingRedken Control Addict 28  all over to secure and set the look.

Soia and Kyo

Nails: Three different base shades were used for these nails – Barefoot and Topless (for any skin tone), Fiji (for lighter skin tones) and Sand Tropez (for darker skin tones).  After this, a coat of Ballet Slippers was applied to soften the colours follow by Matte About You for a matte finish.

Rudsak

Makeup: For Rudsak, the look was feminine and fun.  A bold cat eye with Master Precise liner was drawn on, and light, rosy pink lips and cheeks finished off the look.
