Now that Halloween has come and gone, I feel like it is perfectly acceptable for me to start getting into a holiday state of mind. I’m going to have to go ahead and say it’s a good thing for you – it’s time for me to start featuring some of my favourite holiday collections and gift ideas (not to mention tips for helping your beautiful self battle the cold weather and the onslaught of beauty issues that go hand in hand with it). It’s November 5th and we hit negative temperatures in Toronto the other night so I think that it’s as good a time as any to get the first of many holiday collections up – and it’s a fun one!
So, what do we have here? The Quo Holiday 2013 Collection (available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart). The packaging, the colours, the products and the fun little goodies – I love everything about it. With a beautiful navy blue and rose gold theme running throughout, these products feel so elegant, and I can’t wait to display them on my vanity. Let me show you a few of my favourite products, which also double as fantastic gifts for the beauty-obsessed on your list.
Quo Shimmer Puff ($20) – I absolutely adore this dainty little tub of shimmer. Housed in a petite, navy jewelry box accented with a rose gold bow, this shimmery powder is a great accessory for your holiday parties. The shimmery pink is perfect for adding a little highlighting to your cheekbones and decolletage when you feel like sparkling a little on a night out.
Quo Emergency Kit ($32) – Ooh, this little baby is just jam-packed with goodies. The perfect size to toss in your purse or keep in your desk, it’s got just about everything you need for an emergency touch up during an event or to quickly take your look from a long day at the office to a night out where you just might run into a handsome someone under the mistletoe. In this handy little kit you’ll find 4 eye shadows, 4 lip glosses, one blush and a set of mini travel brushes you can easily perk up your look.
Quo On The Go Beauty Set ($60) – Oh my, I’m obsessing over this. Seriously, if I didn’t have it in my hands already I can promise you it would be on my wish list this Christmas. As if the gorgeous rose gold and navy cosmetic case wasn’t enough, this set has tons of goodies inside, including 4 mini lip glosses, one blush, one mascara, 2 brushes and a set of 24 full sized eyeshadows which will cover all of the bases (the shimmery navy in the bottom left quad? I die).
Quo Cosmetic Crackers ($15 for 3) – Last, but certainly not least (and arguably the most fun), we have Quo’s amazing take on the traditional holiday cracker. Each cracker contains a fun surprise – a Quo eye shadow duo and mini lip gloss, with three different colour combinations. I think I am going to have to get my hands on a few more of these before they sell out – I think a girl’s night/holiday dinner is in order and these would be the perfect surprise for my friends!
This is only a handful of the amazing beauty treats offered in the Quo Holday 2013 Collection. I’ve already spotted this in stores, so now’s the perfect time to stock up on some early Christmas gifts – I wouldn’t wait too long though, because I noticed a few items are already sold out at my local Shoppers!
