Leave it to Lise Watier to come up with a stunning, perfectly spot-on collection to celebrate the holidays. Bathed in elegance, it conjures up images of shimmering snow and frost, with a motif of luxe white feathers lending the perfect backdrop. The Lise Watier Jardin de Givre Winter 2013 Collection is opulent and rich, with a focus on bright skin and a sparkly eye. Take a look at some of the items from the collection below.
Lise Watier Palette Jardin de Givre ($45, LE) – Easily the crown jewel of this collection, I find this palette to be breathtaking. Full of shimmer and sparkle (ooh, the white shade top left!), I was barely able to hold myself back when I saw it – I wanted to dive right in but managed to maintain self control and refrained until I was able to take photos. This palette has a bit of everything; some more neutral shades to build up a light look or to switch to something more smokey, and two gorgeous jewel tones for when you need to add an element of drama to your look. It also contains a creamy black liner to help define your lids. Out of the entire collection, I think this is the absolute must have.
Lise Watier Jarding de Givre Illuminating Powder ($36, LE) – The combination of the slightly bronze shade and the pearlescent shade in this powder gives the perfect luminescent glow for your skin. Excellent for highlighting the cheekbones (and adding slight colour) and the decollete, this powder is definitely a nice add-on for a night out.
Lise Watier Rouge Sublime Lumiere Lipstick in Frisson ($23, LE – also available in Rouge Satin) – This gorgeous nearly nude lipstick is a great addition to the smouldering eyes that can be created with the Palette Jardin de Givre. A hint of peach, a bit of a golden glow and creamy texture are your lips’ best friends when it comes to a neutral winter lip. This lipstick is hydrating so you don’t have to worry about your lips drying out (a big no-no this time of year) and comes with a built in mirror and light to make application on the go even easier.
We’re once again taking the focus back to the eyes with the Lise Watier Smokey Kohl Velours Eyeliner in Violet Velours ($20, also available in Noir Velours & Brun Velours) and the Lise Watier Clin D’Oeil False Eyelashes ($18). Paired together, these two help to create an intense eye look that will definitely get some second glances. The liner is smooth and bold, with lots of pigment and strong colour. It also has a waterproof formula – it took a some work with my makeup remover to get it all off! I haven’t tried the lashes yet but am looking forward to it. They’re more natural looking, without too much fringe, and add a ton of length.
Lise Watier Nail Lacquer in Rose Frimas ($13, LE – Also available in Blue D’Hiver) – I’m a big fan of Lise Watier lacquers. From my experience, they offer great colour (I usually only need to apply a coat or two for opaque colour) and have a really nice, smooth texture that applies easily. This shade is beautiful – nice for adding a little warmth to your tips during the cold winter season. It also features the signature Lise Watier light cap.
Also available in this collection (something I can’t wait to get my hands on) is the Lise Watier Neiges Moisturizing Shimmer Pearls Parfume – a bottle of scented beads that dissolve into the skin, leaving it with the Neiges scent. The bottle is beautiful, and I really want to give this one a try.
