Now that the holidays are (partially) over, I’m sure your skin has taken a bit of a beating. Between all of the food, drinks and late nights, the holidays aren’t necessarily easy on your skin, which is why I wanted to bring you an at-home face mask recipe that will help to detox your skin, tighten your pores and moisturize so that you can get back to your regular glowing self. This DIY Skin Detox Facial Mask is very easy to make, and you probably have all or most of the ingredients needed for it in your kitchen already. So whip one of these babies up, relax, and throw on Love, Actually – it’s time to reclaim your beautiful skin.
Ingredients:
– 1/3 cup Oatmeal
– 1 Banana
– 2 tbsp Honey
– 2 tbsp Yogurt
– Half a Lemon
Combine the oatmeal with warm water (about half a cup) and allow to settle for 2-3 minutes. Mix in the honey, yogurt, juice from half a lemon and the mashed banana until blended. Apply to your face and allow to set for about 10-15 minutes so it can work its magic. Rinse off with warm water, pat dry and follow up with your favourite moisturizer.
One tip – when rinsing this mask off, be careful not to overload your drain or use a strainer to catch the oatmeal – beautiful skin is nice but a clogged drain is not!
