With Mother’s Day being only a few days away (May 11th, don’t forget!), I thought I would pull together a few of my top picks to help you find a gift your mom will love. Granted, she’ll probably be just as happy with a big hug and you telling her how much you love her, but a little something special never hurts 😉

Sally Hansen Mother’s Day Salon Gel Polish Collection in Laven-Darling, For Teal, Just Peachy & Glamor-Fied ($14.95 each; gel starter kit sold separately) – These easy to use, at-home gel polishes are perfect for the mom who doesn’t have enough time to pamper herself regularly. They promise chip-free colour and shine that lasts up to two weeks!
Bite Me & Bite Me Too by Julie Albert & Lisa Gnat ($29.95) – I love cooking. If you’re looking for an amazing cookbook to get a mom who enjoys getting crafty in the kitchen, make it one of these. Julie & Lisa have served up some kick-ass recipes with a side of sass, and I’ve enjoyed working my way through these books. Seriously, they have yet to steer me wrong and I’m always left soaking up the compliments when I make something from these books. Do yourself a favour and toss another copy in your cart for you to enjoy later.
Moroccanoil Cleansing Bar ($10) – Let your mom indulge in a little me-time when she bathes with this deeply moisturising bar, enriched with argan oil and shea butter to leave skin feeling clean and hydrated. And no, the signature Moroccanoil scent certainly doesn’t hurt…
You Makeup Kit in Solace ($79.99) – This set is the perfect way to help inject a little more glamour into you mom’s life. Each kit (there are 3 available) contains everything she needs to create a gorgeous look for a night out. Inside you’ll find liquid liner, 2 shades of eye shadow, blush glow powder, lipstick, false eye lashes, lash adhesive, lip and eye primer & 3 brushes (blush brush, crease brush & eye shadow brush) which all come together for a beautiful look that can be easily recreated using the included instructions. The Body Shop Body Sorbet ($15) – I already go crazy for The Body Shop’s Body Butters and am really enjoying these new moisturizers! They have more of a gel-like feel for hydration that feels light and cool to the touch. Of course, they smell delicious – available in satsuma, morninga, grapefruit, mango & strawberry.
eos Lip Balm Set ($5.99) – I will gladly attest that good things come in pretty packages, which is exactly why this eos Smooth Sphere lip balm set made its way onto this list. If you’ve ever tried them, you know these lip balms are, for lack of a better word, the bomb. They’re adorable and I’ve always got at least one packed into my purse. And since it’s what’s on the inside that counts, these smell great and feel great (smooth lips for days!) and… Yes, they taste great too.
Philosophy Vanilla Coconut Set ($31) – You may not be able to whisk mom away to an exotic locale, but you can definitely help her feel like she’s in the tropics with this vanilla coconut scented set. It contains lip gloss, body lotion and shampoo/shower gel/bubble bath so she’ll be surrounded by the intoxicating scent.
