Unless you’ve been living under a rock and hiding from the beauty world for the past month or so, there’s no way you haven’t heard the buzz about the latest from Benefit.  The new Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Push-Up Liner is hands down going to be one of the biggest product launches this year, and with good reason.  As a self-professed liner addict, I’m always on the hunt for the best of the best.  I want a liner that’s easy to apply, long-lasting provides fantastic pigmentation.  They’re Real! Push-Up Liner checks all three boxes, natch. I’m not kidding when I say this is one liner that you’re going to want to get your hands on… And I recommend doing it quickly, because I have a feeling that this one is going to sell out pretty quickly and be on back order for a while (I heard there’s even a wait list).

So, what makes this liner so special?  A couple of things.  First up, the applicator.  The Benefit team spent the past few years designing this liner and the applicator is one of the areas they focused on.  The special Accuflex tip is flexible and rubbery for a precise line that can hug the lash line, while the “guard” pushes lash aside making it easy to get in close without getting any liner on your lashes (a big pet peeve of mine).  I’m going to let you know right now that unless you’re a makeup fairy, you’ll probably need to practice a few times to nail down your technique.  That being said, once you do application is unbelievably easy – I’ve been able to get an amazing line every time.

Rocking Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Push-Up Liner

There’s another thing that makes this liner stand out – it’s actually a gel liner in the form of a pen!  I absolutely love gel liners.  They give bold colour and are long-lasting, but so far I’ve only been able to find them in pot form.  This is fine, but they have a tendency to dry out pretty quickly.  This solves that problem and gets rid of the need of a brush for application.  Honestly, this formula is the bomb.  It’s waterproof and matte and has serious staying power – it’s going to last all day (and night).

Along with this liner comes the addition of the Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Remover because let’s face it – when you have products that last and last, you’re going to need a remover that actually takes it all off.  This creamy makeup remover definitely does the trick, and takes all of my liner (and other waterproof makeup) off without leaving a trace behind.  They really nailed it with this one.

So yes, I think it’s fair to say that I have a slight obsession with the new Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Push-Up Liner.  I’m sure it won’t be long before I’m ready to buy a new one at the rate that I’m using it.  Will you be picking it up when it hits stores?
