I know that we’re still buried in snow in the Toronto area, but the sun is shining away today and I can feel that spring is just around the corner. I’m already starting to switch into warmer mode with bright & colourful beauty and clothing – bring on the pinks, purples & pastels. They instantly brighten my mood and get me out of my winter slump.
Today I had to share two amazing nail combinations that I’m absolutely loving. Both looks feature the absolutely gorgeous Dior Top Coat Eclosion blossoming top coat ($29 CAD), which I’m so obsessed with, over the two new Dior Vernis shades for Spring 2015. I’ll have a post on the full Dior Kindom of Colors Spring 2015 collection coming soon, but I honestly couldn’t wait to share these polishes with you.
At first glance, I wasn’t too sure about the blossoming top coat. First of all, I’m not a big fan of bar glitter. Secondly, in the bottle, it just looks absolutely insane – like a kid was having fun with scissors and construction paper and just decided to dump all of the leftovers in a bottle. Then I applied it to my nails, and it was like something magical happened. To me, this top coat looks like a springtime confetti party took place on my nails. It may not be for everyone, but I adore how this looks and have received so many compliments every time I’ve worn it. Also, depending on what you pair it over, it looks similar to sprinkles on a donut/cupcake, which I also love.
First we have Dior Top Coat Eclosion over Dior Vernis in Lady ($28 CAD):
And over Dior Vernis in Glory ($28 CAD):
I’ve heard mixed feelings over this top coat. What do you think of it?
