I got back from my va-cay in Orlando a little over a week ago and ever since my lips have been a mess. Between the dryness of the plane during my flights and the frigid weather (of course, I was not happy to come back to -30 temperatures when I returned), they’ve turned into a dry, chapped, flaky mess. Let’s be real here — ain’t nobody got time for that. Take a look at a few of my fave – some new – lip care products to help get your pout ready for all of spring’s fun shades (more on this to come!).
L’Occitane Ultra Soft Balm ($6.00 CAD): This apricot balm, made with 96% shea butter, is deeply nourishing & can also be used on the body and hair for whenever you need a little moisture on the go. You can also feel good about purchasing this one; 100% of proceeds from each tin sold are donated to organizations that promote entrepreneurship for women in developing countries.
eos VISIBLY SOFT Lip Balm Sphere ($3.99 CAD): I’m sure you’ve seen and/or tried eos’ cute little lip balm sphere’s before. This new addition contains coconut milk for the softest lips ever. An added bonus is the tantalizing coconut scent and flavour.
Bio Beauté by NUXE 8 HR High Nutrition Lip Stick ($8.00 CAD): This lip balm offers intense hydration thanks to the addition of Bio Beauté by NUXE’s reinvented cold cream, which combines sweet almond, organic rosewater and organic beeswax for a highly effective formula with a delightful almond scent.
Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil ($23.00 CAD): Clarins decided to pull together some of the most nourishing oils available (hazelnut oil, organic jojoba oil & plum oil) to create this unique lip treatment. With a hint of a glossy finish, this lip oil locks in moisture and gets to work to immediately repair and relieve dry, chapped lips.
Royal Apothic Tinties Lip Butter ($14.00 CAD): I first came across the Royal Apothic brand at a Murale Spring preview a few months back and instantly fell in love. The packaging is absolutely adorable & deserves to be on display. Lips are conditioned with a mix of argan oil, grape seed oil, sweet almond oil and shea butter, while a hint of tint is added for flirty colour.
