For me, spring is the perfect time to change up your look. It’s all about starting fresh and new, and I thought that now would be great to share some of my favourite new products and shades for the season. Lipstick is one of the beauty products that I love the most – there are so many amazing shades, textures and finished to play around with, and this is exactly where I wanted to start. Take a look at some of the newer lipsticks that I’m loving and let me know what your favourites are in the comments below!
tarte Amazonian butter lipstick in park ave princess & ethereal pink ($20 CAD): tarte already has a huge following for their Amazonian Clay powders and blushes for a reason. These sustainable lipsticks pump your lips with moisture and soften while a dash of creamy colour gives lips a little glow. This nude has a bit of a warm tone to it, meaning your lips look great and not ghastly.
Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Sheer Shame & Sheer Liar ($26.00 CAD): These sheer, creamy lipsticks are perfect for spring. While they are a lot more sheer than the original Revolution Lipsticks, they still give off nice colour and have a ton of shine, leaving an almost glossy look. They don’t have the longest staying power (I need to reapply every couple of hours), and function great as more of a tinted balm.
Mary Kay True Dimensions Sheer Lipstick in Arctic Apricot & Posh Pink ($19.00 CAD): Another sheer lipstick for the spring, these lipsticks from Mary Kay are much lighter in pigment but have a fun bit of micro shimmer for a beautiful playful look.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Crème in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang & Miss Scarlet, Marc Jacobs Beauty New Nudes Sheer Lipstick in Strange Magic ($38.00 CAD): Let’s start with the Le Marc lipsticks. These are a dream come true for red lipstick lovers. The colour is bold & amazing, long lasting and the formula is creamy and smooth. The New Nudes, on the other hand, have a gel-like feel to them and are just so smoooooooth. Strange Magic isn’t necessarily my favourite shade (it’s a bit light for me), but there are definitely some other notable shades (ie. Eat Cake & Understudy).
