YOU GUYS. COVERGIRL is coming out with a collection inspired by Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I know this news isn’t 100% new, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting.
Here’s the thing – I’m a total closet nerd. Things like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings & Game of Thrones get my heart beating faster, and I’m unbelievably excited for the next installment of the Star Wars series (provided it’s not an epic fail – but I have faith). So, natch, I was way excited when news of this collab broke out.
The collection won’t be available until October, but COVERGIRL Global Creative Director Pat McGrath has designed six looks inspired by the film, based on The Light Side & Dark Side, which will be released on the COVERGIRL x Star Wars site. The first looks – the Droid & the Stormtrooper – were released today:
- Droid: featuring a luminous look that reflects the light side in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. A swatch of golden eye shadow across lids and cheekbones sets the tone, with glistening lips punctuating the lustrous palette.
- Stormtrooper: featuring a strong and graphic look to represent the power from the Dark Side. The eyes dominate with a black winged liner and white contrasts. Lips measure up in a deep, mysterious red.
