Are you a beauty addict? This month, try swapping out your usual products or accessories for one of these – they all help to give a little something back!

  1. In need of a new bottle of lotion when the weather gets a little cooler? Pick up a bottle of eos Berry Blossom body lotion ($4.99-$8.99 CAD depending on size – available at Loblaws, Walmart, FamiliPrix & London Drugs) instead of your regular lotion. During the month of October (Breast Cancer Awareness month), 100% net proceeds from the sale of this light, refreshing lotion, made with Shea butter, Vitamin E, and a blend of 5 oils,  will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.
  2. Did you know that “1 in 9 Canadian women is expected to develop breast cancer in her lifetime”? That number is pretty unbelievable, and Avon wants to help chance it during BCA month. $1.20 from the purchase of every Breast Cancer Crusade Key Chain ($6 CAD) and $1 from the purchase of every bottle of Gel Finish Nail Enamel in Dazzle Pink ($9 CAD) (along with $3.00 from every Breast Cancer Illusion Necklace, not pictured) will go towards breast cancer research, awareness and support services.
  3. Looking for a new lipstick shade for fall? Pick up Kat Von D’s Everlasting Lipstick in the shade Project Chimps ($24 CAD), the perfect red with a hint of orange, aka what autumn lipstick dreams are made of. 20% of the proceeds from each sale goes to Project Chimps, a non-profit organization that helps to provide sanctuary to chimps who were part of private research programs.
  4. If you’re anything like me, you’re constantly looking for hair ties – I seem to lose them all the time. Stock up with the Breast Cancer Awareness Hair Tie Package ($9.45) from Mane Message. The set of 6 pink hair ties that double nicely as bracelets when you’re wearing them on your wrist help out Breast Cancer Awareness, with 20% of all sales going to The Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.

Will you be picking up any of these products this month?
