Calling all brides to be! If you’re planning on taking a walk down the aisle in the near future, this weekend is your perfect chance to get a little wedding inspiration and to chat with some amazing vendors who just be able to make your big day that much more amazing. The National Bridal Show will be taking place at the Enercare Centre in Toronto from February 4th – 5th, and brings together all of the different aspects of planning a wedding to make your life even easier. If it’s any indication of how successful the show has been, it’s currently heading into its 40th year; in other words, you won’t want to miss this.
I’ve attended the National Bridal Show a couple of times in the past when I’ve been a bridesmaid (I’m not quite there – yet) and was really amazed at the quality and selection of vendors; it’s an amazing chance for brides, grooms and friends to check out some amazing options and have a chance to chat with them firsthand. The fashion shows are also great to take in to help give you some ideas for what you and your wedding party will be wearing on the big day. We’re talking wedding inspo for days.
This year, the Bridal Show is also introducing a few great new features:
- The Wedding Hacks tent (sponsored by Simple Skincare) is perfect for the DIY bride or those who want to make the planning even easier. Experts will be on hand for different sessions throughout the weekend to share tricks and tips to make your wedding even better.
- The Canada Gay Weddings lounge is being added this year, giving attendees a chance to hear from other LGBTQ couples on how they planned their perfect wedding and is a great place to get some tips on making your day special. Oh, and delicious drinks and giveaways aplenty will ensure that this lounge is a fun time, and the opposite of stressful planning.
- The planning centre will feature experts from a variety of sources, including Flight Centre, the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada and Urban Scribes Design Studio to provide a bit more hands on planning; you’ll be able to chat with them to get some ideas or even to start the planning while you’re there!
Of course, the show also features some gorgeous wedding fashions (because who doesn’t enjoy looking at wedding dresses) for the bride, groom and wedding party, and exclusive sales to help you save while you plan.
As a bonus, admission to the National Bridal Show is free for brides-to-be (register now) and tickets for anyone else attending can be purchased online beforehand or at the door. Will you be stopping by the show this weekend?
