While I’m reluctant to admit that fall is here (even though we finally have summer weather in Toronto), today’s the first day of the new season and I can’t deny it any more. I’m a summer lover but I’ll admit that I’m a big fan of fall colours and the entertaining opportunities that come with this new season. I’ve pulled together a few of my Thanksgiving entertaining & fall decor must haves to give you a little inspiration as we head into autumn. Oh, and if you’re looking for fashion inspo I have you covered!
Yes, of course, fall totally means pumpkin spice. If you’re a big fan, you’ll definitely need some cute pillows that show off your affinity for everything PSL-related.
For me, one of the most fun things about fall is the candles that start rolling out. I absolutely love candles and find that they’re such an easy way to transform your home. I can’t wait to get my hand on these Old Factory candles – this set comes with three candles scented like pumpkin spice, cranberry and autumn leaves.
How freaking cute is this turkey platter? This year I’m going to be cooking the turkey for my family’s dinner and of course I have presentation on my mind. I love this super appropriate platter and serving fork from Mud Pie, and the platter can totally be repurposed afterwards!
I’m always one for a good photo booth and these adorable props would make for a great one at a Thanksgiving party. Throw them in a basket and add an Instax Mini camera for the perfect setup.
When it comes to Thanksgiving entertaining, the drinks you serve are as important as the food. Moscow Mules are perfect for a fun, easy cocktail and these copper mugs are exactly what you need to serve them in.
In my head, there are a few things that make a get together successful, and cheese is one of them (just ask my friends Jenelle and Sandra). Of course, if you’re going to be serving cheese up you need a great platter to do so on; this bamboo serving tray looks great and hides serving utensils in a sneaky drawer for easy use.
Light up your party and humble abode with these pretty string lights decorated with fall leaves. They provide a really nice touch running up the banister and I think would make a pretty centrepiece down a long table!
Finally, greet your guests with a taste of fall right at the front door. A pretty fall themed wreath is an easy way to decorate – sometimes keeping it simple and light with your decor is all you need.
What other suggestions do you have for Thanksgiving entertaining & fall decor?
