Spring is finally in the air, which means it’s just about time to put those winter coats and boots away and pull out the warm weather clothes. This is one of my favourite seasons for a few reasons; clothes get lighter, colour palettes change and we begin to inject more of a rainbow of shades into our closets, and everything feels fresh and new. I’m not a big fan of winter, so finding a new spring outfit has definitely been on my mind, and I set out to visit Bramalea City Centre to find something to get me excited for milder temps.
I had the vision of the perfect spring outfit in my mind when I made my way to the mall: a flirty dress, cute heels and a nice jacket to keep me warm (any Canadian knows that you can never really trust winter to be fully gone until at least the end of April). BCC has tons of great options for clothing, shoes and accessories and I knew that my shopping experience was going to be a fun one.
Right off the bat, I fell hard for a trench coat from RW&CO. It was love at first sight and I knew it had to be mine. The heavier fabric meant it would help me to stay warm as the seasons change and the price tag couldn’t be beat – it was on sale for only $100 from the regular price of $170! They always have great deals and this was one of the best. I then stumbled onto the store Harlequin Collection and found the perfect match for my coat. They have lots of fun pieces with a bit of a boho vibe, and I found a gorgeous frilly, striped dress that’s going to be perfect for spring and summer. Sold!
Now that I had the main pieces of my outfit down, it was time to accessorize, and I had a feeling that this wouldn’t be a difficult task at all. I decided to start off with a bag and knew that Aldo would be a great place to look. The store has lots of fun, colourful options right now and I decided to go with a pretty clutch with strap adorned with beautiful flowers and pastel shades that played off of the dress and trench. Shoes were next on my list, and I knew that I wanted to go with something neutral. Call It Spring was the perfect place to find these and I found a gorgeous nude pair with a block heel that looks great and feels comfortable. I finished off the look with a few pieces of jewelry that I found at H&M for a great price and a bright red lip (Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Always Red) to make it date night or girls’ night ready.
Of course, I couldn’t help but notice all of the cute sneakers that all of the shoe stores seem to have on display right now and I decided to take my outfit one step further with a more accessible daytime version. I was so excited to find a gorgeous pair of white Nike sneaks with lace-like detailing at Famous Footwear that fit in so well with the dress that I picked up earlier. I also grabbed a fun mini-backpack at Forever 21 and a tube of Fenty Gloss Bomb from Sephora to complete my daytime look.
I am so over the moon with how my look came together – it’s the perfect outfit for springtime and can be worn in so many different situations. I also can’t believe how easy it was to find everything that I wanted and to put together what I had envisioned in my mind beforehand. I’m a super picky shopper and the selection of stores made it so easy for me to get exactly what I was looking for.
