Hello, my name is Dee and I’m a lipstick addict. I’m not kidding when I say I own way too many lipsticks. From where I’m currently sitting at my desk, I can see at least 35, and those are just the ones on display on my shelf. Does this mean I have enough? I don’t think so. I recently discovered the new bareMinerals barePRO Longwear Lipsticks and it’s safe to say I’m going to be having a few more additions to my collection rather soon.
Aren’t they pretty? I love the slim tube, which is totally giving me all the 90s feels, and sleek, clean packaging. It’s no-nonsense and lets the lipstick speak for itself.
The bareMinerals barePRO Longwear Lipstick boasts long-lasting, smudge & budge-proof colour full of nourishing minerals. Oh, and it’s vegan, for those of you trying to stick to vegan products. The fade-resistant formula contains a blend of baobab, raspberry and blackcurrant seed oils along with sunflower seed and jojoba waxes to provide hydration and antioxidants.
In terms of colour payoff, these are a slam dunk. Application shows colour is true to its appearance in the tube and is highly pigmented. One coat is all you need for full, bold colour and the slim tube makes for nice application. The bareMinerals barePRO Longwear Lipsticks are available in 20 shades, with a focus on nudes and and gorgeous reds & berries. The shade Strawberry has quickly become a favourite of mine – one of those “your lips but better” shades.
When it comes to the formula, I would classify these as glorious. I’m used to matte lipsticks that tend to be a bit on the drier side and these are the exact opposite. Despite the matte finish, they’re smooth, creamy and nourishing, which means they look good while you wear them. Not a bad thing if you’re planning on having it on for a while.
These bareMinerals barePRO Longwear Lipsticks are definitely a win for me. I’ve been finding myself reaching for them more and more – between the gorgeous colour, comfortable formula and long wear time (this survived a 10-hour shift on bar!), they’re a great choice for a matte lip.
Which shades are speaking to you?
