Toronto Adventures | CTV Upfront, Walking the Red (Blue) Carpet + Fun Spots to Visit

A few weeks ago I had the incredible opportunity to spend some time with CTV and really get the red carpet treatment. The week before, I had stumbled across their Superfan contest and decided to put together a video and enter – why not, right? To my surprise, a few days later I received a message letting me know that I had been chosen as one of the winners! I was ecstatic and couldn’t wait for my CTV Upfront experience. I brought my mom along for some of the fun since she was home visiting and recorded most of my lil trip to Toronto to share with you:

My day spent with CTV was such a blast! The other contest winners were super nice and we had a fantastic time checking out everything that goes on behind the scenes on this big day. Between checking out the eTalk studio, getting to play around on the green screen, and meeting some of the stars of CTV shows ( Donald Faison and Allison Tolman from Emergence and Jay Hayden & Jason Winston George from Station 19), we really got a VIP look at what goes on.

And then, of course, the CTV Upfront itself was amazing! Getting to walk the red (blue) carpet was a really cool experience, and we were even introduced as part of the presentation. The CTV Upfront party was also such a fun time, with games going on, a backstage tour, and lots of drinks going around.

While in Toronto, I also did a little exploring. My mom and I checked out The Shameful Tiki Room, which was such a fun bar with great drinks and an ambiance that brings you right to a beach party, and had a fantastic meal at Chubby’s Jamaican Kitchen. I highly recommend both! We also took a walk over to one of my favourite spots in Toronto, the St. Lawrence Market, and grabbed drinks outside at TD Union Summer. This is the perfect place to stop by for food & drinks on a nice day and is conveniently located right outside of Union Station.

I had an amazing time at the CTV Upfront and can’t wait for my next big adventure. Do you have any planned?
