Get Your Pumpkin Fix: 5 Fall Spots to Check Out in the Hamilton, Ontario Area

Fall is here, fall is fun; because of this, I’ve decided to switch up my usual 5 things to check out in favour of sharing 5 fall spots to check out in the Hamilton, Ontario area. I’m a walking fall cliche and a total sucker for anything surrounding apple picking or pumpkin patches which means I’ve got the deets on the farms and stops you have to make this season. Thanksgiving weekend might be a little busy but it’s also the perfect time to check one or two of these out – they’re some of my favourite spots every year!

Chudleigh’s

9528 Regional Road 25, Halton Hills

Chudleigh’s is a serious one-stop farm that really has it all and is a great place to spend the day. After undergoing some renovations last year, they now offer delicious food (they even have a wood-fired pizza oven) & boozy drinks (you’ve gotta try their alcoholic cider) at the Farm Kitchen. Pick some apples, take a tractor ride around the property, visit the animals and more. Don’t forget to grab some apple blossoms and a pumpkin on the way out!

Bennett’s Apples & Cider

944 Garner Rd E, Ancaster

If you’re looking for fall treats, Bennett’s is an absolute must. With over 100 years experience, they’re king when it comes to tasty baked goods. Stop by for your pick of fresh apples & pumpkins, grab some incredible pies & treats and don’t forget to grab a jug of cider. Oh, and you have to grab a pack of their apple cider doughnuts; they’re one of my favourite fall treats. I promise you won’t be disappointed after a visit.

Springridge Farm

7256 Bell School Line, Milton

Springridge Farm holds a special place in my heart. Growing up, my parents used to bring my brothers and I to Springridge in the fall to check things out. If you have kids and want to treat them to some fall fun, this is a great place to visit – they have tons of activities to keep the kiddos busy. During weekends (and Thanksgiving Monday) for the month of October you can also check out their Harvest Festival!

Dyments Glen Drummond Farm

416 Fallsview Rd E, Dundas

Dyments has become one of my favourite fall stops in the past few years. My uncle loves taking me to the pumpkin patch to this day and this is always at the top of the list of places we visit. The pumpkin patch, fun little corn maze & animals are fun, but the best part of a visit to this farm is taking the tractor ride around the property and checking out the gorgeous view from the top of the escarpment.

Puddicombe Estates

1468 #8 Highway, Winona

Puddicombe Estates is perfect for those of you who want the pick your own experience. At this time of year, you can stop by to pick apples, pears & pumpkins to bring home for cooking, eating or decorating! I love the train ride (fun fact: the train came from Crystal Beach Amusement Park) that you can take through the property, which is always a hit with the little ones. What do I love even more than that? Puddicombe Estates is also a winery. Stop by for a tasting after grabbing that perfect pumpkin and bring a bottle home for dinner.
