Oh Bite Beauty, you never cease to amaze me. And in a summer where lipstick has ruled, I’m really happy that you’ve thrown your ring into the liquid lipstick ring because your version is, well, delicious. I’ve been playing with the new Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick for a little while now and there’s a reason why these have become so popular so quickly. Shall we?
“Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick is proof that a high pigment luxurious and nourishing formula is possible with natural ingredients.” – Susanne Langmuir, Founder & Creator of Bite Beauty
Available in 12 shades, ranging from nudes to deep maroon with everything in between, the new liquified lipsticks bring their popular Amuse Bouche lipsticks into liquid form (with new shades). They were designed to be nourishing on the lips, using natural ingredients like coconut oil, monoi butter and citrus flavour, to ensure that the formula glides on the lips smoothly leaving a creamy feel that hydrates during wear. They feel luxurious on the lip, with a really soft touch that doesn’t ever feel heavy or sticky.
The shades are gorgeous and highly pigmented, especially the deeper shades; I love the colour and how rich they are once applied. I do notice that the lighter shades apply a little streaky and need to be blended a little for a smooth finish, but I’ve had no issues with the darker shades. For me, standouts are Chutney (my absolute favourite), Supreme and Marsala.
They apply really creamy and dry to what they call a demi-glaze finish, which means they feel satiny and have a nice hit of shine to them without being overly glossy. I do find that these transfer (especially to my teeth…), with reapplication needed every 3-4 hours to keep the colour up. For longer lasting colour, start with The Lip Pencil in a matching shade.
And now… I made my first YouTube video! Check out more swatches and a continuation of my review here:
Please, be gentle 😉 And if you want to see more videos, make sure you subscribe and let me know what you would like to see on my channel. This was a pretty big, nerve-wracking step for me that’s been a long time coming and it feels nice to finally make the jump. Thanks for checking it out 🙂
