Another day, another lipstick. And I’m not even close to being done yet. Today we’re sticking to drugstore (and affordable) lippies with the new NYX Pin-Up Pout Lipsticks. Available in 24 shades and ringing it at $10 CAD each, these are a fantastic option for adding some new colours to your repertoire for the fall.
I have all but 2 of the shades and couldn’t wait to dive in and swatch them for you so you can find your next pick!
These lipsticks are throwing it back to the OG lipsticks, going vintage and focusing on a creamy feel and bold colour payoff. These lipsticks dry to a velvety, almost matte finish that feels surprisingly light on the lips. I clock wear time at about 4-5 hours before you will need to reapply, and you will experience some transfer with these.
If you’re looking for colour, the NYX Pin-Up Pout Lipsticks are definitely what you’re going to want to get your hands on this season. The payoff is incredible, with extremely bold, opaque colour. Be careful with application, because with such strong colour you’re going to want to be really precise. I would suggest starting with a liner for perfect full coverage. Anyways, the pigmentation on these is pretty incredible, and with 24 different shades to choose from I have no doubt you’ll be able to find something to suit most of your needs. There are quite a few nude and deep shades, as well as a few classic reds and pinks to round the selection off. Also, fair warning, some of the deeper shades – heck, most of the shades – do have a bit of a stain to them.
And now… On to the swatches, because I know that’s what you’re really here for.
A few standout shades for me include Bombshell (which is a gorgeous magenta), Cocktail Hour (a killer red with a bit of shimmer that might just come in handy for my Halloween costume) and Darling (a pretty nude pink which is great for daily wear). What shades are you interested in?
Have you tried out any of the NYX Pin-Up Pout Lipsticks yet? What other lipsticks have you been loving so far?
