With Halloween approaching, we all know that makeup is going to be one of the most important parts of our costumes. I want to share a little secret with you today – Classified Cosmetics’ Spirit Spray. It’s going to make getting the perfect Halloween look much easier.
What is it? An oil-free, hypo-allergenic aerosol makeup spray. It comes in 5 colours (red, blue, white, black and green, as seen above). They wash off super easily with an oil free cleaner (honestly, after testing it out on my arms I washed it off using dish soap in the kitchen sink). These are so great for creating brilliant and colourful Halloween looks (Take a look at the Day of the Dead look they created using it below for inspiration).
I really enjoyed using these – I found they went on extremely easily and provided a perfectly clear, smooth layer of colour. If you don’t feel like spraying them on your skin, it’s also really easy to apply the colour using a sponge, brush, or even your fingertips. I think the best thing about these is that they aren’t just for use on your face – they are a much more efficient way to apply makeup to your body as well.
Take a look at some of the ways we decided to apply Spirit Spray below (make sure you check them all out – I think the last one will knock your socks off).
If you want to purchase it, it’s available at Lawton’s Drug Stores and online at www.spiritspray.com, for $9.99 a bottle.
Check out my looks:
The first idea we had was a reptilian look – we created this using a simple item you most likely have at home – the netting used to package onions (alternately, you can try using fishnet stocking). We started with a base of white, then sprayed the blue and green Spirit Spray over the netting. So easy!
For these looks, all we did was spray the red Spirit Spray over stencils I got at Michael’s. This is a perfect way to add a little flare to your look (I used this in my Dark Fairy Halloween look) or to add “tattoos” to a costume.
This last look is my absolute favourite – I think it turned out so amazing! To get this look, start with a base of white Spirit Spray. Lay some lace over top of this area, and spray with black Spirit Spray.
What do you think? What would you use Spirit Spray to create?
